The existing Stormwater reticulation at the Pukekohe train station was under capacity and causing flooding of the North Island Main Trunk Rail and local lines causing nuisance and risk of damage to critical rail infrastructure. It was determined that the reticulation should be upgraded by a combination of open cut methods and by micro tunnelling for the sections under the rail tracks. The micro tunnelled sections included a 100m shot of 600mm HOBAS GRP pipe and a 50m shot of 1050mm Concrete Jacking pipe.
